Find out who benefitted from the Hall & Woodhouse Community Chest Awards in 2010.

2010 Winners Announced

The 9th Community Chest Awards was again held in the Brewery Visitor Centre. As in 2009 there was a strong demand with 197 organisations requesting grants totalling £304,000. The judges, with some difficulty, whittled the list down to 30 who shared in just over £20,000.

The 3 highest awards of £1,500 each went to Girl Guiding Swanage District towards a central heating system in their new Headquarters, to Island Play in Portland towards new play equipment for their mobile play project and to North Dorset Citizens Advice Bureau for partitions to create confidential interview rooms within their existing office space.
