It has taken us over two years to develop this classic golden brown country ale, and the result is an exceptional, session cask ale. Badger First Gold is a classic country ale from Dorset using a single English hop for purity and character.
Imagine acres of low growing hedgerow more reminiscent of a vineyard, where the First Gold hop develops its traditional English character and flavour.
Lauded for its well balanced bitterness, with hints of orange and spice, First Gold gives this classic Badger ale its clean, fresh, distinctive taste. Badger First Gold is perfect with traditional English roasts and pies.
First Gold is a World Champion Beer!
 At the recent prestigious Brewing Industry International Awards, known as the Brewing Oscars, Badger First Gold won Double Gold! Badger First Gold won Gold for best in category (International Bottled Ale between 2.5 % ABV and 4.3% ABV) as well as being voted overall "Champion Beer" of the category.
The judges said, "Badger First Gold is something special, it is a great bottled beer, which really outshone the competition."

Availability: Available nationally at 4.0% ABV in 500ml bottles and cans from most supermarkets and a growing number of off licences and independent retailers.
